Great Lakes Fright Fest
May 31st, June 1st and 2nd 2013
Our 13th year!

What is Great Lakes Fright Fest (GLFF)? Well think of going to a reunion where you will see Lot's of old friends and meet many new ones, have a great time over a weekend, learn something new and get to go through a haunted house for free*  GLFF is all that and more starting on Friday when everyone arrives and begins setting up there campsites (yes it is at a campground) and then at dinner time all gathering for some of KK's Keeper's famous chili. Later on there are some movies shown and a social gathering around the campfire. Interested yet? Well then Saturday starts off with Breakfast: Cereal, coffee cake, coffee, tea OJ, then

announcements for the day and then there are the demonstrations and make and takes through out the morning and afternoon. Where not done yet, not buy a long shot! Lunch: Chili, Hot Dogs and Chips is served between the morning and afternoon seminars and all the while people are setting up there rooms for the haunted house** which leads us to a wonderful pot luck dinner where everyone brings a dish so there is so much good food you will have a hard time choosing what to put on your plate. After dinner is the Raffles and door prizes (yes everyone gets something) and the fog-off where everyone with there mega fog machines get's to see who can make the biggest cloud of fog. Then as darkness comes the Haunters against Hunger haunted house opens and with the admission price of 1 can of food you can go through and have the pants scared off you! Sunday starts off with Breakfast: Pancakes, sausage links, coffee, tea, milk, OJ and then the haunted house awards and show and tell, a few more haunt related demos and then Lunch with the pot luck left overs and tear down and clean up. Tired yet?  *Well at the beginning I told you that it was free, well the weekend is but you do have to pay for your campsite (or entrance fee if you stay outside the campgrounds) but in order to make it free everyone has to help out by donating something of the list of items needed, bring a dish to the pot luck and helping out during the weekend when you can. You see KKrayz KKaren and KK's Keeper wanted to have an event where everyone could have fun, enjoy themselves and yet not have to pay an arm and a leg. So fo 11 years GLFF has been doing just that and also helping the less fortunate the the Haunters against Hunger food drive and pet food drive. **By haunters volunteering to set up an room in the haunted house we not only get some outstanding haunted house rooms but can food and pet food donations that help out a lot. So if you haven't done so already call Totem Pole Park campground (734-279-2110) and see if they have any spots left (if not there are several nice
motels less than 15 minutes away) head on over the the GLFF website and register and get ready for another great weekend at GLFF!
